This week, Year 5 kicked off an exciting new topic in science, Living Things and Their Habitats, inspired by the legendary Sir David Attenborough.
We explored the key parts of a flower, learning how each one plays its own special role – from the colourful petals that attract insects, to the stigma that collects pollen, all helping plants transfer pollen and propagate. To bring it all to life, we got hands-on with real flowers in the classroom, carefully dissecting them and sorting each part like true scientists!
