In writing this half term, Year 1 are taking inspiration from their key text – Femi the Fox, A Pot of Jollof, by Jeanette Kwakye. The story is set in Nigeria, and the mischievous Femi often finds himself in trouble as he gets up to no good in the market place. This week, we used our senses to write setting descriptions for the busy marketplace.
