This week in Nursery, our highlight was playing dice games! We have been working on our understanding of quantities up to 6 and used dice to make different towers. Children had to recognise what number of dots there were on the dice and then make a tower that included only that number of blocks. They had to apply their understanding of shape and space to choose blocks that would stack and arrange them in a way that remained balanced. We loved comparing towers that had the same number of shapes, using language skills to describe what we noticed.
